Important Information About Gold Layer Thickness
The battery-powered plating pen is designed primarily for decorative plating, touch-up work, repairs, and selective electroplating.
Due to its limited output power, it is not intended for depositing gold layers thicker than approximately 2.5 microns (Vermeil standard).
If thicker gold deposits or high-volume plating applications are required, we recommend using a professional tank plating system.
Crocodile Clip Protection
The kit includes a protective cover for the crocodile clip.
When the plating pen is not in use, simply place the protector over the crocodile clip. This prevents accidental contact between the clip and the pen electrode, helping to avoid unnecessary battery discharge during storage.
Batteries Not Included
The plating pen requires three standard AAA batteries, which are not included with the product.
