Zinn-Zink Elektrolyt mit 70% Zinn und 30% Zink
Diese Neuentwicklung ist eine Mischung aus 70 % Zinn und 30 % Zink. Dieses Elektrolyt ist eine
umweltfreundlichere Alternative zu Cadmium. Es ist 2-3-mal effektiver als Cadmium und bis zu zehn
Mal besser als Zink. Die o.a. Abbildung zeigt die Effektivität dieses Prozesses. Zinn-Zink kann auch
als Grundierung für Gold dienen bei der Beschichtung von Gold auf Eisen- und Stahlteile. Zinn-Zink
wird leicht matt, kann aber auf Glanz poliert werden. Hierzu empfehlen wir unsere Handpoliturmittel!
Zinn-Zink hat folgende wesentliche Vorteile:

Tin - Zinc
Our latest development in alloy plating solutions is one that plates 70% tin and 30% zinc. Our tin zinc alloy plating solution is an environmentally friendly alternative to cadmium plating. It is two to three times more effective than cadmium and up to ten times better than zinc. The picture opposite illustrates the effectiveness of the process. Tin/zinc can also serve as a base coat for gold when plating on to steel and iron parts. Tin/zinc plates dull, but can easily be polished to high lustre with MetaPrep, MetaPrep Ultra or the Hand Polishing Kit.
Tin/zinc has the following main advantages:
- An excellent alternative to highly toxic cadmium.
- Very good corrosion resistance
- Excellent solderability
- Very ductile
- Plates a uniform thickness, even in recesses.

Tech Tip;
Tin/zinc plates dull, but can easily be polished to high lustre with MetaPrep, MetaPrep Ultra or the Hand Polishing Kit.
